Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More ttwreacsyuuuaswbdfyazwevqrc At the core of the straight-viewing Newcon Optik Spotter ED 20-60x85 Spotting Scope are extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements that produce bright, high-contrast images that are color faithful and rich with detail. The over-sized 85mm objectives, coupled with their fully multi-coated optics and BAK4 prisms, efficiently transmit light and preserve image quality, which enables the scope to render clear views even in low-light conditions.The Spotter's nitrogen-filled polycarbonate housing is water and fogproof, making it able to handle extreme weather and temperatures. The rubber-armored body absorbs light shock in addition to providing an enhanced grip when conditions get wet or while wearing gloves. Complementing the Spotter ED optical features and build quality is a retractable dew shield built into the objective bell, which can further enhance image quality by blocking stray light from causing glare. The eyepiece is set parallel to the optical tube and an included anodized aluminum tabletop tripod makes this an ideal grab-and-go scope for most glassing needs. If you want to put it on your own support system, its 1/4"-20 socket makes it compatible with most photo tripods and quick-release plates.
