Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More The angled-viewing Spotter NC 20-60x80 Spotting Scope from Newcon Optik is a weatherproof optic designed for intermediate- to long-range outdoor observations. The polycarbonate housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to protect the optics from fogging due to extreme humidity and heavy rainfall. A rubber-armored exterior provides an enhanced grip when wearing gloves or when conditions get wet and helps to absorb light shock from being transferred to the glass elements.The highly reflective BAK4 prisms preserve image quality and render a view through the eyepiece that is color faithful and bright enough for twilight-hour use. This scope's angled-view configuration permits the observer to mount the scope at lower heights than its straight-view counterparts. An inclined viewing angle is also easier on the observer's back and neck during long-duration observations and while digiscoping.In addition to the optical features and build quality, the Spotter NC also delivers the functionality needed for a wide range of glassing applications. Optional adapters allow this spotting scope to be paired with a night-vision monocular for low-light/no-light observations or a point-and-shoot camera for digiscoping.
