Product description The MAXPower eSATA 6G Pro PCIe Controller Card from NewerTech adds two internal or external eSATA ports to your Mac Pro, desktop PC, or Thunderbolt expansion chassis through a single PCIe 2.0 slot. It enables you to utilize the speeds of high-performance hard disk drives and solid-state drives, as well as SATA-based optical drives. It is fully backward compatible with PCIe 1.0 slots as well as previous generations of SATA 1.5 and 3Gb/s drives. The PCIe controller card is fully compliant with the industry standard Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) and supports driverless installation without any future updates (requires driver for only Windows 8 and 8.1). Additionally, it uses the same connecting cables utilized by earlier SATA 1.5 and 3Gb/s devices for quick installation.
