Product description Pass audio and video signals from a Windows or Mac system to a monitor with a Mini DisplayPort input with the 6' Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort Cable from NewerTech. Compatible with most Mac systems, this cable works in tandem with Apple's Target Display Mode to output video from your host system to a 27" iMac with a Mini DisplayPort input. This cable can also be used to connect your host Windows or Mac system to other compatible monitors with a Mini DisplayPort input. Resolutions are supported up to 2560 x 1600 and both ends have a male connector.
Note: As Thunderbolt is based on DisplayPort technology, any Mini DisplayPort cable or adapter is also compatible with your Thunderbolt port. However 'Target Display Mode' on Thunderbolt-equipped Macs requires a Thunderbolt cable. General Features - Compatibility
