Product description Designed to hold the Nikon or Canon dedicated shoe cords (Nikon SC-17, 28 or SC-29 and Canon Off Camera Shoe Cord 2) to the top of the bracket, the Newton 2-10102 fits atop all Newton brackets and works with any dedicated cord module which has a 1/4"-20 threaded female socket and a straight edge on the bottom. The bottom of the 2-10102 is grooved to match the width of the top of Newton brackets, so that together with the properly aligned off-camera cord there won't be any twisting of any of the components. If having the smallest possible dimensions when not in use is of paramount importance, which is particularly true if you're using the Di100FR2 folding bracket, then consider using the 5-102 quick release so that the flash cord and 2-10102 can be quickly detached from the bracket for storage.
