Product description The Gen 3 Gated Sentry 14 Night Vision Monocular from Night Optics features a gated Generation 3 intensifier tube, a multicoated 1x 26mm f/1.2 lens system, a built-in light sensor, a built-in infrared illuminator, and a waterproof housing submersible to 66'. While the Generation 3 tube provides very high resolution, brightness and image clarity, the gating tube operation helps extend life of the tube and improve resolution in higher lighting conditions. The 1x 26mm f/1.2 lens system allows a 40° wide angular field of view but can be upgraded to 2x, 3x, or 5x magnification with a lower field of view using optional objective lenses. This NVD can be used as handheld device, mounted to a riflescope or a head mount with optional adapters. To allow comfortable viewing experience for anyone wearing glasses, it provides a long 27 mm eye relief, a diopter adjustment and a wide rim rubber eyecup. The minimum focus with standard lens system is 10".
Beyond optical highlights, this night vision monocular features an number useful functions. The automatic brightness control maintains constant image brightness while you are moving through environments with various lighting conditions. The manual gain helps you control image brightness in very dark environments or when you are trying to improve visibility of long range targets. On the other hand, reducing gain manually can help improve image detail, resolution, and reduce saturation when you enter a scene with abundant infrared illumination. If you experience a burst of bright light which may damage or burn the intensifier tube or cause flash blindness to your eyes, the Bright Light Cut-off function will automatically turn off the intensifier tube. If you find yourself on a very fast-paced mission or training session, the automatic shut off function helps you save time and battery life by turning your device off when you detach it from a rifle, a head mount, or just hold it in an upright position. Additionally, for your convenience there are an infrared momentary and constant-on illumination modes, and a low battery and IR-on indicators.
The Sentry 14 Monocular is waterproof to 66', has a rubber eyecup, and includes a hard case, one sacrificial filter to protect the objective lens, one demist shield to protect the eyepiece optics from environment, and one AA battery. - Night Vision Features
