Product description The 6x GEN 3 Gated Falcon Night Vision Biocular from Night Optics features thin film Generation 3 autogated intensifier tube with 57-72 lp/mm resolution, multicoated high-performance optics, and waterproof housing. While Generation 3 autogated tube provides the higher quality images and delivers much higher resolution and clarity with less blooming than Generation 1 and 2 tubes, optical elements with multiple anti-reflection coatings provide high optical transmission which improves brightness. With 6x magnification, the lens system enables you to make observation at a considerable range with angular field of view 8°. To help you see bright images regardless of ambient light, this biocular is equipped with a large 165mm focal length objective for gathering more photons, and infrared illuminator for providing additional illumination of targets.
Beyond these optical highlights, the biocular has an automatic brightness control and Bright Light Cut-off function. The automatic brightness control helps keeping brightness and image visibility constant regardless of external illumination settings. The Bright Light Cut-Off turns off the tube when it is exposed to light intensities above allowable threshold limit. This serves two functions: one, to protect the intensifier tube from over-exposure damage or burn out; and two, to protect your eyes from flash blindness due to a sudden burst of light.
The biocular also features diopter adjustment, low battery and IR-on indicators, winged rubber eyecups, and water and fogproof housing. Also included with this NVD are two AA batteries, a hard carrying case, and an objective lens cap. - Optical Performance
