Product description Night Optics USA represents a highly qualified team with many years of experience in manufacturing and distribution of night vision systems for commercial, law enforcement and military applications. They take pride in being able to provide premium quality equipment at competitive prices while focusing on customer satisfaction. Close relationships with law enforcement and military professionals ensure product quality and reliability. Every product they offer has been rigorously field tested. With the most stringent quality control enforcement, they make sure that their equipment will not only perform to specifications, but will provide years of trouble-free use. Sight without light is the name of the game, and the battle-tested AN/PVS-7-2HD delivers on demand, the ability to see and not be seen. Designed for military and law enforcement use, you can accessorize it to suit almost any mission specific requirements. It can be head, helmet, or tripod mounted, as well as hand-held. The construction is so robust that it can operate in temperatures from -60 - +125° F. Mil spec optics provide a clear line of sight, while soft rubber eye cups shield out stray light and minimize reflective glow from the intensifier tube. Most important of course is the quality and performance of the intensifier tube. The stealth advantage of night vision is contingent on its ability to resolve detail and contrast in no or low-light scenarios. The bi-ocular design of this unit features a single high quality second generation intensifier tube, capable of resolving 45-64 lp/mm. Second generation NVD's offer great value, with excellent performance and a lower cost. There are many different variables that effect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and this varies by manufacturer, so ultimately the generation of the intensifier tube is much more relevant than any quoted statistic when determining the maximum viewing range. All night vision devices sold by have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. No matter what, bright light in any form is not good for the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes. Note: Export of this device described herein is strictly prohibited without a valid export license issued by the U.S. Department of State office of Defense Trade Controls, as prescribed in the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Title 22, Code of Federal Regulation, Parts 120-130, and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
