The Night Optics USA D-760-3AG represents a combination of years of night vision design experience and the latest technological developments. The D-760 utilizes space-age materials to reduce the weight and improve recoil resistance. Standard features include a waterproof housing, an illuminated reticle, and high-grade multi-coated optics. This scope also provides a higher 6x level of magnification that can assist with longer range shooting, or gaining target acquisition upon smaller targets. The D-760-2HP is rugged, lightweight, and accurate, making it an excellent choice for military & law enforcement night vision specialists. The illuminated reticle assures quick and efficient target acquisition, while the 1/4 MOA precision adjustments enable precise shot placement. There are many different variables that effect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and this varies by manufacturer, so ultimately the generation of the intensifier tube is much more relevant than any quoted statistic when determining the maximum viewing range.All night vision devices sold by have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. Despite protection devices, bright light in any form is never good for the longevity and performance of night vision image intensifier tubes.
