Product description Gain a tactical advantage with the versatile Panther C 640 Thermal Clip-On from Night Optics. With the touch of a button this compact thermal imager can be used either as a clip-on with your existing day riflescope or as a dedicated rifle sight using an optional eyecup. The sensor features an uncooled vanadium oxide II (VOx II) microbolometer with a resolution of 640x480 pixels and a brilliant 800x600 AMOLED display. While the thermal imaging sensor detects infrared radiation in the spectral range of 8-14µm, the electronics provide viewing capabilities through either its integrated display with a default refresh rate set to 30 Hz or to an external recorder or screen in a default NTSC video format. An optional 60 Hz refresh rate and a PAL video output format can be configured upon request at the factory. The 50mm f/1.2 germanium lens system offers a maximum field of view of 6.5 x 5° and a close focus distance of 33' in clip-on configuration and 66' in riflescope configuration. The magnification of the device will depend on its use. In the default clip-on mode, you will get 1x power and will use optical zoom of your day scope for close-ups on your targets. In the rifle sight mode, you will obtain 3.5x optical magnification and 1-4x digital zoom, giving you a total magnification range of 3.5-14x. Additionally, the electronics of this device offer a number of useful features: fast start-up, automatic brightness control, automatic shutter control, three polarity options, and seven color palettes. To help you with target acquisitions, this device also features digital mil-dot and crosshair reticles with five color options. The water-resistant and impact-resistant housing features a lightweight and durable polymer construction and offers knurled adjusters and rings for a non-slip grip. To protect the germanium objective lens from dirt, scratches, and debris, it has a flip-out objective lens cup.
