Product description Ideal for security surveillance, search and rescue, and tactical applications, the Sentry 14 1x 3rd Generation White Phosphor Night Vision Monocular from Night Optics is equally optimized for handheld, weapon-mounted, or headgear-mounted use. It features a 3rd generation filmless autogated image intensifier tube with resolution of 64-72 lp/mm and automatic brightness control. It will enable you to see brighter and clearer images than 1st and 2nd generation devices with similar optics. While the filmless microchannel plate improves signal-to-noise ratio and efficiency of the intensifier, the autogating greatly increases sensitivity in low-light and varying lighting conditions, protects against bright light burnout, and helps extend life. The tube is also enhanced with white phosphor technology for operators who prefer black and white images to green ones. You can adjust image brightness or detail with a manual gain control. To maximize image brightness in total darkness, the monocular carries a built-in IR illuminator that casts extra infrared light on your targets. To add convenience and stealth for tactical applications, the device offers activation status indicator and automatic off function when you turn it up or take of off your headgear. The 1x lens system, upgradable to higher magnifications with optional lenses, offers a wide 40° field of view and an ultra-short minimal focusing distance of 10". The housing is made of lightweight and impact-resistant polymer and offers fogproof and waterproof performance, with a submersion rating of 66'. To provide extra protection and stability for optics, the lens's housing is made of aluminum. To prevent spill-over of light from the intensifier tube, offering a comfortable cushion between your eye and the eyepiece, the eyepiece has a wide rubber eye cup.
