Product description The Nikon Coolpix L5 provides a generous 7.2 megapixel resolution and produces images with great picture clarity, which can be fully appreciated on the bright 2.5" LCD. The powerful, 38-190mm equivalent Zoom-Nikkor lens ensures matchless compositional freedom, from zooming in for intimate personal portraits to zooming out for expansive outdoor scenes. Furthermore, Lens shift Vibration Reduction (VR) technology allows the user to make the most of 5x zoom lens. The Coolpix L5 makes it simple to get great-looking results in challenging situations. Three unique in-camera Nikon image innovations adjust the image, detecting and correcting imperfections: Face Priority AF automatically detects and achieves sharp focus on people's faces wherever they are in the frame; In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically overcomes the red-eye effect sometimes caused by flash; and D-Lighting makes it possible to rescue underexposed images or shots taken with too much back-light. In addition, there are 15 different Scene modes to select from to optimize the camera settings for your particular shooting conditions. The camera includes PictBridge capability, which enables direct connection to compatible printers without the need for a computer, and PictureProject software simplifies the importing, editing and organization of your images. Altogether, the Nikon Coolpix L5 is an excellent choice for the entry-level photographer, producing rewarding images from the first click. - 7.2 Megapixel Resolution
- With 7.2 million pixels of image information, the Nikon Coolpix L5 can produce stunning, photo quality prints as large as 16 x 20 inches and beyond.
- High Quality 5x Optical Zoom-Nikkor Lens
- The High quality Zoom Nikkor lens of the Coolpix L5 provides 5x optical zoom (38mm - 190mm equivalent) to get you close to the action, while it's macro capability lets you get as close as 1.6 in (4cm). This combination is supported by Nikons' world-renowned optical technology delivering crisp, clear images.
- Vibration Reduction
- Nikon's Lens shift Vibration Reduction (VR) technology minimizes the effect of camera shake caused by unintentional hand movement while you're taking pictures to give you clear, sharp images even when taking handheld telephoto shots or shooting at night.
- Incredibly Bright 2.5" LCD
- The large 2.5" LCD screen provides easy viewing and playback of pictures, and the screen is bright enough to use under any condition - even bright daylight.
- 15 Scene Modes
- The Coolpix L5 feature 15 specially programmed modes to automatically handle focus, exposure, white balance and other adjustments that help you take great pictures easily. Face Priority AF, an option found in the Portrait Mode, automatically finds a face and focuses on it for you. Plus 4 of the Scene Modes come with Scene Assist which offers selection options to help you compose your pictures with the assistance of framing guides displayed in the monitor. In addition, when using the Best Shot Selector feature, the camera takes a series of photos and selects the one with sharpest focus.
- Exclusive Nikon In-Camera Red-Eye Fix and D-Lighting Features
- The in-camera red-eye fix automatically fixes most instances of red-eye in the camera so you may never see red eyes again, and the D-Lighting Feature automatically brightens the dark areas in the picture when in playback mode. Add to that the in-camera cropping feature and Direct printing Capability and you may never need to edit pictures on a computer again!
- Long Battery Life
- Shoot approximately 150 images on a single set of AA alkaline batteries, or get up to 250 images per charge with the optional rechargeable Coolpix NiMH batteries.
- Print Directly to a Printer or Show Pictures on a TV
- You can send images directly to print, without the need of a PC, when using PictBridge and USB Direct Print compatible printers, or connect directly to your TV to show friends and family the results on a grand scale.
- Includes PictureProject Software
- Nikon's Exclusive PictureProject software is designed to extend the enjoyment of taking pictures by making it simple to transfer images from camera to computer, organizing images so they're easy to find, edit them to add an extra sparkle, design ways to show off the pictures and share them with friends and family.
