Product description The Nikon Coolpix P50 Digital Camera is a blend orthodox camera styling with an advanced feature set and operating ease. Built on a custom application of Nikon's innovative EXPEED digital image processing concept, the Coolpix P50 is built to provide optimum performance and maximum image quality. It also features a 3.6x Zoom-Nikkor lens with 28mm wide-angle capability that ably covers a range from panoramic landscapes to close-up portraits. Plus the camera incorporates Nikon's Electronic VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization system which compensates for camera shake or movement by unsteady subjects to achieve sharper results, along with extended light sensitivity up to ISO 2000 to further helps prevent blurred shots when shooting in lower light, or when capturing fast-moving subjects. From its functional body design, with stable grip and rubber thumb rest, to the intuitive operation of its Mode dial, complete with a setting for Manual shooting mode, the Coolpix P50 is extremely versatile. Its optical viewfinder enables accurate composition, even in bright sunlight, making it a handy complement to the bright 2.4-inch LCD monitor on the back of the body. Power is supplied by readily available AA-size batteries, which means the Coolpix P50 can be used in virtually any location without worrying about recharging or running out of power. - 8.1 Megapixel Resolution
- With 8.1 million pixels of image information, the Nikon Coolpix P50 can produce stunning, photo quality prints up to 16" x 20".
- 3.6x Optical Zoom Wide-Angle Nikkor Lens
- The Zoom Nikkor Lens incorporates exclusive ED lens elements that deliver crisp, clear images, and provides a 3.6x optical zoom with wide angle capability (28mm-102mm equivalent) while the Macro capability lets you get as close as 2" to your subject.
- Electronic VR Image Stabilization
- The Coolpix P50 features Electronic VR capability to provide impressive image stabilizing performance. Using a built-in angular velocity sensor, the Electronic VR system applies in-camera image processing to help overcome the effects of camera shake and produce satisfyingly sharp images.
- Easy-to-use Shooting Modes
- In addition to a selection of 15 scene-optimized modes and five different movie modes, the handy Mode dial also allows users to easily select the Programmed Auto [P] mode which automatically selects the optimal camera settings, and the Manual [M] exposure mode which provides full control over both the aperture and shutter speed settings to provide greater personal control over camera operation.
