Product description Nitecore's black EC4 Explorer LED Flashlight is manufactured from die-cast 6061-T6 aluminum alloy in two parts: the body and tailcap. Using this method reduces overall weight and size. The uni-body design also makes the entire body a heat sink to help regulate the light's temperature - especially at high outputs. Its CREE XM-L2 U2 LED produces from a minimum of 1 lumen to 1000 lumens on turbo mode. In addition to the five output intensities, the EC4 has a disorientating strobe, SOS distress signal, and a signal beacon. The outputs and modes are controlled via two pushbutton switches on the body, with instant access to the minimum and turbo outputs, as well as a lockout function that prevents accidental activation, integrated battery status indicator, and last-mode memory.Complementing the light's performance is a lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aluminum housing with a type III hard anodized finish. On top of the anodizing is an additional layer of stoving varnish to offer further corrosion, scratch and chemical resistance. Its unibody design and O-ring sealed tailcap provide an IPX8 rating to be waterproof and submersible to 6.6' for up to 30 minutes. Rounding out the light's usability is a 1/4"-20 tripod. - Performance
