Product description From emergency preparedness to outdoor recreation to walking the dog, the HA40 Headlamp from Nitecore will light your way while leaving your hands free. Its separate battery pack design distributes its weight for comfort, and its wide-angle beam ranges in brightness from an energy-saving one lumen to a brilliant 1000 lumens.A single push-button switch turns the lamp on and off and cycles through its five output levels and three special modes – SOS, location beacon and strobe. Power is supplied by four widely available AA batteries in a pack worn opposite the lamp at the back of your head. The lamp itself is made of die-cast aluminum alloy specially designed to dissipate the heat generated by the Cree XM-L2 U2 LED; Nitecore's Advanced Temperature Regulation technology further regulates heat for safety and comfort.The HA40's 90° beam lights the path or task before you, and the 90° tilt capacity allows you to aim the beam right where you need it. The headlamp is IP66-rated for water resistance, meaning it's impervious to water sprayed in powerful jets, so a little rain won't be a problem. Its impact-resistance rating indicates it will be damage-free after a drop from 5'. - Performance
