Product description Nitecore's P36 Explorer LED FLashlight is a purpose-built illuminator to give law-enforcement professionals, first responders, search & rescue personnel, and outdoor enthusiasts an invaluable tool to add to their kit. A unique switching system on the tailcap features a familiar pushbutton switch to control the momentary and constant-on activation with last-mode memory. Adjacent to the pushbutton is a mode selector dial. Using this dial, users have the ability to quickly select 10 regular output modes from a low 2-lumen to a powerful 2000-lumen turbo. Complementing this wide output range are five strobe modes: a disorientating tactical, slow signal, fast signal, location beacon, and an emergency SOS which automatically cycles through the Morse-code sequence. The output is digitally regulated to ensure consistent beam intensity throughout the life of the batteries, and active and passive overheat protection limits the possibility of damage due to excessive heat.To withstand daily use on the job or on the trail, the housing is made of light and durable T6061 T6 aluminum with a corrosion and scratch-resistant anodized finish. A stainless steel bezel ring protects the head and window from damage, and its hardened and scratch-resistant tempered glass emitter window has an anti-reflection coating to maximize light transmission. The housing is impact resistant to 5' and O-ring sealed for an IPX8 rating, making it submersible to 6.6'. It runs on two 18650 or four CR123 user-supplied batteries. - Performance
