Product description With a powerful output and long runtimes made possible by a dedicated high-capacity battery, the Nitecore R40 Rechargeable Tactical LED Flashlight is designed for tactical or search-and-rescue professionals. It's also a versatile light for home use or outdoor recreation – everything from camping trips to power outages. You can run the R40 for as long as 1,000 hours at its 1-lumen low power setting. When you need maximum illumination, you have instant access to the 1,000-lumen turbo setting by simply holding the mode switch for one second. The light has a total of five brightness settings, along with a disorienting strobe, an SOS signal, and a location beacon. A side-mounted dual switch controls on/off and mode selection. The R40's power plant is a proprietary 3.7V, 5000 mAh 26650 battery, designed for use with this light. The light comes with the battery and three charging options: a wall mount, a desk cradle, and a USB cable. The side switch serves as a battery power indicator so you'll never be caught by surprise with a depleted battery. In use, the light's Cree XP-L HI V3 LED throws a long, bright beam thanks to the Precision Digital Optics Technology (PDOT) reflector. Designed for durability, the housing is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy that is covered in a scratch and corrosion-resistant hard anodized finish. It is O-ring sealed to an IPX8-rating, making it submersible; and it is impact-resistant to 5'. When set in standby mode, the power switch flashes every three seconds to help you find the light in the dark. - Performance
