Product description Designed to play high-resolution audio from your laptop to speakers or headphones, the NuForce uDAC5 is a mobile headphone amp and DAC sporting a prominent rotary volume control. It sports a USB input, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output, a coaxial S/PDIF output, and RCA outputs for your home stereo system. The system is capable of handling regular PCM files, as well as high resolution PCM files, DXD formats, and DSD256 files as well. Measuring 0.8 x 2.7 x 1.8" and weighing 0.2 lb, the uDAC5 is small enough to accompany you on your travels, and since it draws its power from your computer over USB, you don't need to lug a wall-wart around to make it work. The uDAC5 includes a USB cable. - Works with DSD Files
- DSD files are thought to generate an audio response much more akin to analog reproduction than a typical CD, giving you more lifelike detail. The uDAC5 is designed to play audio in the DSD256 formats, elevating the quality of compatible computer-sourced audio files, adding weight and speed to the bass, clarity and substance to midrange, and an opened, extended feeling to the highs.
- Multi-Purpose
- The uDAC5 can be used as a high-resolution desktop audio controller, a DAC for DSD over USB, or a headphone amp. A bevy of analogue and digital outputs enable instant high-resolution connection to amplifiers and active speakers.
- Mobile
- Small enough to fit in your pocket, the uDAC5 is suitable for use on the move or at home. This portable DAC offers ease of use and connection for professionals and music lovers on the go.
