Product description The NVT NV-1672 converts the video signal coming from up to 16 analog BNC devices so that they can transmitted over UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) telephone wires.
Some of the key advantages UTP has over a BNC cable is a lower cost, less bulkiness and most importantly, the ability to transmit over longer distances without suffering signal attenuation. A UTP transmitter is also an obvious choice for use in buildings already wired for UTP. - DigitalEQ
- A built-in digital equalizer continuously monitors and auto compensates for signal aberrations like cable attenuation, ground-loops and wiring polarity, thus ensuring maximum signal stability.
- Long Distance Transmission
- The maximum UTP cable distance supported by this unit depends on the type of UTP receiver used at the other end of the cable. When used with an active receiver (NV-653T), transmission distances of up to 1 mile (1.6km) are possible. With a passive receiver, video can be transmitted up to 3000 ft (1km).
- 2 Outputs Per Channel
- To accommodate large CCTV installations containing multiple cameras, this transceiver supports two UTP outputs per BNC video input.
- Outstanding Interference Rejection
- Distance EQ, ground lifting and transient protection are among the functions employed to allow multiple signals like telephone, datacom and low-voltage power circuits to share the same UTP cable without causing "hum-bars", voltage spikes and similar electrical interference problems.
- Green Active LED Per Port
- Each BNC port has its own LED light so that an operator can see at a glance which video device is currently transmitting.
