Product description The NVT NV-217J-M Video Transceiver (Passive) allows real-time monochrome or color video to be transmitted over a Cat 5 cable. It supports any type of baseband (composite) signals. When used in conjunction with any passive NVT transceiver or hub, the video transceiver can transmit full-motion CCTV video at a distance up to 750' (225m). With any StubEQ hub, the unit can transmit up to 1500' (460m) whereas with a DigitalEQ hub or NVT active receiver, it can transmit up to 3000' (1000m).The passive NV-215J-M offers an RJ45 terminal for connection to a Cat 5 cable and male BNC for direct connection to camera or DVR. When used with any Active NVT Receiver, the transceiver is capable of delivering a fully equalized signal to the DVR. The built-in transient protection eliminates the need for a ground screw. Interference rejection and low emissions allow the video and low voltage power circuits to appear within the same wire bundle, thus allowing the use of shared or existing cable plant. Without any added power requirements, the passive NVT Video Transceiver can send video. It has a DC frequency response up to 10MHz. - Allows real-time monochrome or color video to be transmitted over a Cat 5 cable
