The PlayPad Pro Controller from Nyko is a full-sized wireless Bluetooth controller designed to work with a wide variety of Android games. Featuring dual analog sticks, a d-pad, 4 action buttons, left/right shoulder buttons, and left/right triggers, the PlayPad Pro has all the necessary tools to tackle any game. Featuring a gamepad protocol designed in conjunction with NVIDIA, the PlayPad Pro is compatible with numerous high-end mobile games that are optimized for Tegra-powered devices. For expanded compatibility, the PlayPad Pro features a mouse mode and iCade mode for iOS games and devices. The PlayPad Pro works with Nyko's Android App, called Playground, to provide backwards compatibility for the PlayPad with legacy tablet titles, including those that currently utilize keyboard mapping. Playground also discovers PlayPad Pro compatible games installed on your device as well as lets you find and download compatible titles. The PlayPad Pro works with any Android 3.0 device or higher with Bluetooth. Modes - GamePad (HID)
- The GamePad mode utilizes a standard HID protocol developed in conjunction with NVIDIA and utilized by various Android developers. Once synced, games that support game pads can be controlled by the PlayPad Pro, including menu navigation and gameplay. This mode is compatible with a growing list of games available on the Google Play Store and the NVIDIA Tegra Zone.
- Mouse
- Navigate through your Android device with mouse mode. Once selected, a cursor will appear on your screen that you can control with the left analog stick while the action buttons activate a "mouse click." Use this mode to navigate through web sites and presentations with ease. Mouse mode can also be used for select games, such as Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.
- iCade
- iCade mode is for use exclusively on iOS devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Once the Playpad Pro is synced to your iOS device, you'll be able to play iOS games.
- App
- App mode works with Nyko's free Playground app to customize and create custom controller profiles for numerous Android games. With Playground, you can assign keyboard commands to specific buttons on the PlayPad Pro. The Playground app also scans your device and lets you know what PlayPad Pro compatible games you already have installed, while letting you find and download games you can play with the controller.
