Product description Time-Lapse Tips and Tools Read More This kit from includes the Oben AC-2361 3-Section Tripod and BA-117 Ball Head. The tripod is a sturdy support with a load capacity of 17.6 lb and a maximum height of 69.6", including the head. It offers a number of features that ensure its stability and reliable performance.
The tripod's flip locks, which enable the extension and securing of the leg stages, are user-adjustable. By using a supplied hex key, the user can tighten each flip lock to safeguard their continued reliable performance. Made from anodized aluminum legs, and a cast aluminum alloy chassis, the AC-2361 is made to be durable.
The rapid center column extends with a twist of a knob, and a rubber damper under the center-post collar protects your camera when the column is retracted quickly. Steel locking screws underneath the collar ensure that the ball head is tightly secured.
Push/pull locks allow you to set the positions of the three legs independently at three different angles. This allows you to shoot from low angles or on uneven terrain. For stability on softer terrain, the AC-2361 features metal spikes that retract and emerge by twisting the foot's rubber portion.
For extreme low-angle shooting, the center column can be split into two sections with the provided hex key. The shorter column leaves no protruding parts under the tripod collar, allowing you to extend the legs out to their maximum angle. For another method, the center column is also easily reversible. These features are especially ideal for macro and close-up photography. The retractable metal counterweight hook serves as a stopper at the bottom of the center column. Foam grips on two legs mitigate the effects of extreme heat & cold and provide comfortable grip.
The BA-117 Single Lever Ball Head from Oben is a simple ball head with one locking knob to control all motion. The knob allows you to unlock the ball so that you can quickly orient your camera properly, retighten the knob, and return to shooting. This enables fast setup changes, and frees you to keep a finger on the trigger while you're making a quick adjustment to the head's orientation. The head has a 90° notch which facilitates shooting in portrait orientation. One bull's eye and three tubular bubble levels ensure your camera is level on both the horizontal and vertical axes.
The included quick-release plate has a retractable video pin, and attaches to your camera via its standard 1/4"-20 screw.
