Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More The 8x42 Barr & Stroud Sierra Binocular from Olivon features fully multicoated optics, BAK4 phase-corrected Roof Prisms, a wide angle of view, and a weather-proof construction with rubber armoring. While the fully multicoated lenses greatly increase light transmission and image brightness, the phase corrected Roof Prisms made of BAK4 optical glass preserve true colors. The wide 7.4° angular field of view allows you to see a linear field of 387' at a distance of 1000 yards, and the center focus with a diopter allow seeing crisp details as close as 6.6'. The binocular also has an interpupillary adjustment range of 56 - 74 mm and a 5.2 mm exit pupil.
In addition to optical performance features, the Barr & Stroud Sierra presents a number of convenience and construction highlights. The binocular housing is waterproof to 5' and has a smooth rubberized armoring to ensure a non-slip grip. For easy focusing, there is a large knurled center focus knob and a ribbed diopter ring on the right eyepiece. To accommodate anyone with glasses, there are 18 mm eye relief and twist-up eyecups.
Also included with the binocular are a strap, ocular lens cups, objective lens cups, and a carrying case with a strap. Optical Performance -
