Product description The Olympus DS-9500 is a digital voice recorder with ODMS Release 7 software designed to deliver convenient, secure, and versatile voice recording for office workers, interviewers, electronic news gatherers, and A/V technicians. Its dual-microphone setup incorporates selectable modes that modify the directivity and noise cancellation parameters to suit different environments. An integrated three-layer pop filter reduces wind noise picked up by the mic, which offers adjustable sensitivity and voice-activated recording. A 3.5mm mic input is provided for connection of a preferred external mic. Use the backlit 2.4" color TFT LCD, cursor pad, and programmable buttons to configure settings such as recording format, indexing, and more. The DS-9500 can record in PCM (WAV), MP3, DSS, or DSS Pro formats to the 2GB of internal memory or SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB in capacity. AES 256-bit encryption is offered with the DSS Pro format. Monitor through the built-in dynamic speaker or connect your headphones to the 3.5mm output. Files can be transferred over USB 2.0 or Wi-Fi. The internal Li-ion battery can be recharged via USB 2.0 or the supplied AC adapter. The DS-9500's durable body is shockproof to 4.9' and is easily cleaned. Utilize the ODMS (Olympus Dictation Management System) to streamline your workflow, manage your files, and more. - Wi-Fi Capability
- Wi-Fi capability allows you to send dictation immediately to your transcriptionist without a USB cable, docking station, or computer. Status of transcription files can be checked on the DS-9500.
- Dual-Microphone Setup
- Intelligent dual-microphone technology optimizes the directionality and noise-canceling system for different environments. Use narrow directionality for accurate voice capture of a subject in a noisy space. Use wide stereo directionality to increase the pick-up area and record multiple subjects in a room.
- Integrated Pop Filter
- The integrated triple-layer pop filter reduces wind and breath noise for cleaner, more distinguishable recordings.
- Shockproof Body
- The reliable body design is shockproof up to 4.9' and enhances the lifespan of the DS-9500. An optical slide switch reduces the risk of mechanical failure. The body is also resistant to damage from alcohol wipes.
- Security
- AES 256-bit file encryption with the DSS Pro audio codec and a device pin lock provide additional content security.
- Multiple Recording Formats
- Record in DSS, DSS Pro, WAV, or MP3 file format according to desired recording time and quality settings. Take advantage of voice-activated recording, adjustable microphone sensitivity, and full-duplex recording with headphones. You can even insert, overwrite, append, or partially erase files!
- Advanced Features
- Utilize up to ten author IDs, 20 work types, selectable priority, verbal comments, and per-file index marks. Play in slow, normal, or fast speed, adjust volume, and cue/review.
- Administrative Settings
- Customize accessibility, set alarms, program buttons, and set a personalized welcome message. Citrix, WTS, and Thin client support is provided.
- Compatible Software
- The DS-9500 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.10 to 10.13, and with Windows 7 and later. It includes a license for Olympus Dictation Management System (ODMS) for comprehensive workflow enhancements, automation, file management, and more.
