Product description The Olympus LS-100 is a portable multitrack PCM recorder offering versatile recording modes and resolutions for musicians, podcasters, and location recordists. It supports WAV recording in digital resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, or selectable-rate MP3 recording for extended recording time. Record to the internal 4GB flash storage or via separately available SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 64GB in capacity. The built-in rechargeable battery powers the LS-100 for up to 12.5 hours of recording time or up to 17.5 hours of playback time.Record, overdub, edit, and bounce up to eight tracks per project, and benefit from special record modes such as Voice Sync and Play Sync. Use the integrated tuner and metronome to help you play on pitch and in time, and check phase with the Lissajous function. Audio can be sourced from the two onboard condenser microphones—arranged in a 90° stereo configuration—or via external microphones connected to the XLR-1/4" combo inputs or 3.5mm mini jack. Monitor your recordings through the built-in speaker or your own 3.5mm jack–equipped headphones. - 24-Bit / 96 kHz Linear PCM Recording
- The LS-100 features linear PCM recording at selectable resolutions between 16-bit / 44.1 kHz and 24-bit / 96 kHz. When quality is second to convenience and quantity, you can record using the MP3 format with selectable bit rates. Record in stereo to capture spatially realistic music, or record in mono to record speech with extended battery life and recording time.
- Internal & External Storage Options
- The LS-100 is equipped with 4GB of internal flash memory. It also has an SD card slot for recording directly to SD cards up to 2GB, SDHC cards up to 32GB, or SDXC cards up to 64GB.
- 90° Directional Stereo Condenser Microphones
- With a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the built-in directional 90° stereo condenser microphones accurately capture a wide range of audio sources at SPLs up to 140 dB, which means you'll be able to clearly record even the loudest of live performances. Plus, the LS-100's independent left and right recording level dials allow you maintain optimum balance as well as make adjustments on the fly.
- Multiple Mic Inputs & Phantom Power
- The LS-100 features selectable 24V or 48V phantom power for condenser mics and active ribbon mics. Integrated left and right XLR-1/4" combo jacks easily accommodate external mics or instruments. It also provides plug-in power and a 3.5mm mic input for connection of an external lavalier microphone.
- Multitrack Mode with Bouncing
- The LS-100's multitrack mode allows you to separately record and play up to eight different sound sources such as guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals in each project. Recorded tracks can be edited separately to adjust the output level or balanced, then mixed (bounced) into a single file.
- Overdubbing Function
- Overdub recording allows you to record along with existing audio, while still being able to keep the original sound. Overdubbing has several useful applications. It can be used by musicians to add a supplementary recorded sound to a previously recorded performance and vocalists can use it to sing harmonies with themselves. With LS-100, you'll be able to make a recording and then go back later to overdub additional parts.
- Voice-Activated Recording with Voice Sync
- Voice Sync lets you use your voice to start, stop, and restart your recordings. Voice-activated recording is an extra benefit that saves time and energy while simultaneously lowering stress and frustration when your hands are needed for other tasks.
- Packed with Convenient Features
- Besides Voice Syncing, the LS-100 features functions for file editing, pre-recording, metronome, tuner, Lissajous for phase checks, MP3 converting, CD writing, and Play Sync recording. The recorder is equipped with adjustable microphone sensitivity and a 100/300 Hz low-cut filter. It also has a headphone jack and built-in speaker for versatile monitoring.
- Ideal for Music and More
- The LS-100 is well suited for podcasting, electronic news gathering, and location recording. Use it to record interviews, foley, sound effects, or ambient noise. Plus, nature enthusiasts can record wildlife with high-resolution clarity.
- Voice Guidance
- Voice feedback for actions lets the user operate the LS-100 without looking at the display.
