Product description Connect your keyboard, guitar, or bass directly to your preferred mic preamp with the On-Stage DB1000 active mono DI box. It adapts a high-impedance, instrument-level 1/4" TS input to a low-impedance, mic-level XLR output. By converting your signal from unbalanced to balanced, it allows longer cable runs, less noise, and proper compatibility with mic inputs. A 1/4" TS thru jack provides an unbalanced pass-through to an instrument amplifier or pedalboard. Flip the -15 dB pad switch to prevent distortion when accepting high-output sources, and utilize the ground-lift switch to rid your signal of hum from ground loops. Since the DB1000 is a phantom-powered direct box, no batteries, power cables, or AC adapters are required. It features a durable metal housing with protective nylon bumpers, making it equally well suited for constant use in the studio, on stage, or at home. - Ideal for connecting a keyboard, guitar, or bass to a mixing console, an outboard mic preamp, or an audio interface
- Transforms an unbalanced, high-impedance, instrument-level input signal to a balanced, low-impedance, mic-level output signal
- Selectable -15 dB pad prevents distortion when accepting high-output sources such as guitars and basses with active electronics
- 3-pin XLR male output socket for direct connection to a microphone preamp
- 1/4" TS thru jack provides an unbalanced, instrument-level split to an amplifier or pedalboard
- Ground-lift switch eliminates hum caused by problematic ground loops
