Product description The Anodized Brown Distortion Pedal from One Control only sports three controls—volume, tone, and gain. However, with these three controls, you can effect a wide variety of distortion types, from the subtle juicing of an amplifier, to a bluesy harmonic sound, to the type of distortion necessary for drop-D chugging often prevalent in hard rock genres.Utilizing its versatility by means of its relatively simple controls, you can achieve an expressive amount of dynamic range, or use the compression naturally found in harmonic distortion to your advantage in solos when cranking this pedal to its limits. The pedal can also approximate Variac vacillation, as it accepts between 6 and 18V, reflecting the tonal and dynamic responses commensurate with Variac gain-staging all the while. With 26 to 60 dB of gain possible, you can achieve quite loud and crunchy sounds, while an onboard tone control both dials in appropriate brightness and filters out unnecessary low- or high-end information. The pedal accepts a traditional 9V battery, and its aluminum case is sturdy enough for road usage. - Key Features at a Glance
