Product description The Golden Acorn OverDrive Special from OneControl is a BJF Series overdrive pedal designed to offer overdrive sounds inspired by the rare and highly desired Dumble Overdrive Special amplifiers. Intended for guitarists playing blues, fusion, and classic rock, the Golden Acorn's tone will also be welcome in funk, alternative, and post-rock. Since the '70s, Dumble amps have been revered for their dynamic, expressive response and smooth overdrive. The Golden Acorn provides the texture and sensitive distortion associated with Dumble Overdrive Special amps, which are unobtainable for most guitarists. The pedal’s ability to switch from clean to distorted in response to playing style is set with simple controls. The Ratio control simultaneously changes the depth of distortion and compression, allowing the dynamic reactivity to be dialed in. Use the Bright knob as a tone control to adjust the brightness of the distortion. Output level can be tweaked via the Volume control. Like all BJF Series pedals, the Golden Acorn OverDrive Special features an aluminum enclosure and true bypass switching. Power can be supplied from a 9V battery or 9 VDC power supply (both available separately). -
