Product description The OneControl Honey Bee is an overdrive pedal intended for guitarists and bassists. Inspired by the Supro amplifiers of the 1950s, this pedal provides a warm harmonic distortion that can be adjusted from subtle grit to all out crunch with the twist of a knob. The pedal has existed in one guise or another for a while, but this iteration of the stompbox features a gain increase of 6 dB, which gives the Drive control more range.
Controls are on hand for Volume, Drive, and Nature; the latter is a frequency control that tweaks your overall timbre. You'll also note the Vintage/Modern toggle switch, which gives you more tonal options. In vintage mode, the switch provides the sound of the original Honey Bee Overdrive pedal. Modern mode, on the other hand, gives you a tone with increased upper-midrange and the ability to boost treble with the Nature knob. The pedal features true bypass switching to keep your signal pristine when it's not engaged. It can be powered by 9V batteries or from conventional 9V power supplies.
