Product description The Hooker’s Green Bassmachine from OneControl is a BJF Series preamp pedal designed to offer bassists the complex tones of bass tube amps, whether or not an amp is being used. Due to its range of tones and gain, the Bassmachine can be used as a DI to a console, or as a bass preamp before an amplifier. Low-tuned guitars and guitars with seven or more strings may also benefit from the thick, compressed overdrive offered by the pedal.The Drive control is the crux of the sonic variations available with the Bassmachine. Get light and expressive tube-style grit at low drive settings. Smooth, compressed overdrive is unlocked when using higher drive values. Even at high drive levels, the Bassmachine does not sacrifice response to the player’s dynamics. Equalization is offered via Low and Treble controls. The effect of the Treble adjustment can be finely tuned, due to its intentionally limited frequency range. If more pronounced bottom end is desired, tweak the Low trim pot on the side of the pedal. Manage output level with the Vol control.Like all BJF Series pedals, the Hooker’s Green Bassmachine features an aluminum enclosure and true bypass switching. Power can be supplied from a 9V battery or 9 VDC power supply (both available separately). The Bassmachine will yield increased headroom and less gain when a high-voltage power supply (18V maximum) is used. -
