Product description The Purple Humper from OneControl is a BJF Series boost pedal designed to offer 15 dB of midrange-emphasized boost for electric guitarists using single coil, P-90, and humbucking pickups. Its single control, Blend, sets the mix of input and boost signals.By focusing on midrange frequencies, the Purple Humper can effectively modify tone while changing gain. Use it to make a transistor amplifier sound similar to a vintage British amp. Make bridge pickups in solid-body guitars sound more like neck pickups in hollow-body guitars. Increase preamp distortion by driving an amp input with it. Configure the booster in an amp's effects loop for control over power amp distortion. If an additional gain stage is needed for pedals lacking volume controls, place the Purple Humper before or after another pedal.Like all BJF Series pedals, the Purple Humper features an aluminum enclosure and true bypass switching. Power can be supplied from a 9V battery or 9 VDC power supply (both available separately). -
