Product description The Purple Plexifier from OneControl is a BJF Series distortion pedal designed to offer distortion sounds inspired by renowned Plexi tube amps of the late '60s. Intended for guitarists playing rock, punk, and hardcore, the Purple Plexifier's 67 dB of gain yields thick distortion for users of single coil and humbucking pickups.As OneControl's first amp-in-a-box design, the pedal features controls that will be familiar to amp users. The Distortion control offers up to 67 dB of gain, creating powerful distortion with prominent mids and tight lows. Tone can be adjusted via two controls, Treble and Midrange. The distortion can be scooped and bright, without being harsh. Or it can be warm, thick, and responsive. Balance the output level using the Volume knob.Like all BJF Series pedals, the Purple Plexifier features an aluminum enclosure and true bypass switching. Power can be supplied from a 9V battery or 9 VDC power supply (both available separately). Some players prefer to experiment by using low- or high-voltage power supplies, which change the pedal's gain and headroom characteristics. -
