Product description Intended for electric guitarists, the OneControl Raspberry Booster is a pedal designed to raise the gain of your signal into the amplifier, causing it to distort naturally if it's already near the point of breakup, or simply heightening the level if the amp is sufficiently quiet. In other words, rather than producing its own distortion, the booster allows you to tailor the texture of the resulting distortion coming from the amplifier. The pedal accomplishes this by means of its control set. Its Gain knob, for instance, also increases inherent compression. The master knob can initiate cuts as well as overall level boosts. These two controls, separated as they are, allow you to independently fine tune the squashing nature of adding gain and boosting the level. Finally, you'll note the Z knob, which controls the input impedance. Adjusting this knob will have an audible effect on the treble of the signal. You can use this to soften single-coil pickups or to add more juice to humbuckers. This control interacts with your guitar's controls to give you further versatility as you play. The Raspberry Booster features true bypass switching to keep your signal pristine when it's not engaged. It can be powered by 9V batteries or from conventional DC power supplies. The pedal sports an aluminum enclosure. OneControl recommends you place this pedal in your signal chain first for best results.
