Product description The HD2 Handset from Ooma is a cordless phone with a color display and features like a smartphone, including the ability to sync your phonebook with Yahoo and Google and display the Facebook picture of callers. This handset is designed to integrate seamlessly with your Telo device. It provides a great and enhanced calling experience by displaying picture caller ID, syncing your contact list, improving your voicemail accessibility, boosting your call quality and unlocking the instant second line. The HD2 Handset features status indicators like signal strength, battery, line, HD and many more. It employs DECT 6.0 technology to offer superior sound quality and range. Using Ooma HD2 Voice technology, the handset delivers excellent call quality and comes packed with features including easy phonebook integration, intercom, call logs, instant second line, one-touch voicemail access, integration with popular premium features and more. - Cordless Handset
- You can use your phone wherever you are in your house and add up to 4 handsets for added convenience
- Color Display
- A 2" color display provides the ability to display pictures of contacts
- DECT 6.0 Support
- Offers superb sound quality, security and range for your Ooma HD2 handset without interfering with your Wi-Fi network or other home electronics
- Picture Caller ID
- Displays a picture of the caller as the phone starts to ring along with caller ID information. Automatically sync with Facebook profile pictures
- Caller ID and Call Waiting
- You can enjoy the convenience of caller ID and call waiting without any additional charge
- One-Touch Voicemail Access
- Check messages from anywhere in your house. The Voicemail soft key allows you to access your voicemail account from the home screen and follow the audio prompts
- Online Phonebook
- You can browse and search your contacts. Add new contacts manually or import existing contacts from many popular applications and sites. In addition, you can download Facebook profile pictures and your online contacts from Yahoo, Google, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Intercom
- You can use the intercom to talk between handsets and transfer calls. It also doubles as a baby monitor
- Call Log
- Provides the convenience to view all your incoming calls, outgoing calls, numbers and duration of calls
- HD Voice
- Ooma HD Voice technology doubles the fidelity of your phone calls by capturing twice the speech information of a standard voice call (including your landline). When you and the other caller use an Ooma handset or any HD compatible phone, your voice will sound more natural than ever
- Placing and Receiving Calls
- You can place and receive calls conveniently from your HD handset
- Joining an Existing Call
- You can join an existing call-in-progress by picking up an unused handset and pressing the answer key. You can press the Join soft key and then select the line you wish to join 1
Please Note: Ooma Premier users will see the caller ID name even if the caller is not in your phonebook close - Muting the Microphone
- Features microphone turn on/off functionality, while you are on a call
- Volume Adjustment
- You can adjust the volume setting for the earpiece, speakerphone or headset depending on which one is active, while you're on a call
- Handset Paging
- Allows you to locate your handset. All handsets that are powered on will chime for 30 seconds
- International Calling
- To place an international call, you can dial 011 followed by the country code and phone number 2
Please Note: To make international calls and access other premium services such as 411, you must charge up your prepaid account close - Baby Monitoring
- Baby monitor option lets you listen in another room when you're busy elsewhere in your home. Monitoring works in one direction, with one handset acting as a remote microphone and the other handset acting as a speaker
- Favorites
- Allows you to set up a list of your favorite callers for easy access. You can add a phone number from your call logs, redial list or phonebook by highlighting the number with the Add to favorites option. In addition, it allows you to map up to 10 frequently-called numbers for quick access
- About
- The Information screen provides you information about your phone that might be useful for troubleshooting and networking purposes, including your handset name, main phone number or number of the personal device (if configured as a personal device ID), versions of the Ooma Telo software, the handset firmware and the base station firmware, MAC address of the Telo to internet port as well as IP address of the Telo to internet port
- Premier Features
- Provides privacy protection features like blocking telemarketers, call forwarding options to prevent missed calls and many other convenient features that greatly enhance the capabilities of your phone
Status Indicators - Signal Strength Indicator
- Signal bars show the connection strength of your handset
- Battery Indicator
- Shows the battery charge level. A lightning bolt will flash when the batteries are charging
- Line Indicators
- Indicates which line or lines are currently in use
- Speakerphone Indicator
- Shows whether the speakerphone functionality is engaged
- HD Indicator
- Displays when you have established an HD-quality call
- Mute Indicator
- Displays whether the microphone is muted
- Missed Call Indicator
- Displays when you have missed calls to review
- Ringer Off Indicator
- Displays when the ringer volume is turned off (this phone will not ring)
- Do Not Disturb Indicator
- Displays when Do Not Disturb mode is enabled (no phones will ring)
Keys - Context-Sensitive Softkeys
- There are 2 context-sensitive softkeys under the display. The shortcuts to popular functions are assigned to these keys. The handset updates the label above the keys as you use the phone. You can press the appropriate softkey to invoke the assigned function
- Navigation Pad
- You can use this 4-directional pad to navigate through the intuitive menu system with the center key to select the highlighted option
- Answer
- The green answer key allows you to pick up an incoming call or to get to a fresh dial tone
- Hang up
- You can end a current call or exit the menu or navigate back to the home screen with the help of the red hang up key
- Menu
- Displays various options on your handset, including voicemail, intercom, services, phonebook, favorites, call logs, about and settings
- Redial
- Pulls up a list of your recently-dialed numbers, sorted into reverse chronological order so you can call again or add a number to your contact list
- Speakerphone
- Enable the handset's top-of-the-line speakerphone to talk without straining your ear or shoulder
- Microphone
- Enable the microphone to turn on and off
Enhanced Features - Send Calls to Voicemail
- The Send to VM allows you to send incoming calls directly to voicemail. You can also send an active call to voicemail
- Do Not Disturb
- You can enable the "Do Not Disturb" feature and send all calls straight to voicemail. The DND soft key allows you to toggle Do Not Disturb on and off
- Call Screening
- Enable this feature to hear the caller leaving their message through the handset speaker, when an incoming call goes to voicemail
- Instant Second Line Calling
- Allows you to make a second call by picking up any Ooma handset. If someone else is already on a call, the line 2 indicator is active
- Call Waiting
- If someone is already on the line and you receive a second incoming call, any Ooma handset not in use will ring
- 3-Way Conferencing
- With calls on both lines, the 3-way conference option helps you to merge both lines together. You can also split the conference into individual calls with the stop conference option
- Virtual Number Selection
- You can select a second phone number for your family, home and business to make them easy to reach you
- Personal Devices
- You can configure the Ooma HD2 Handset as a personal device, allowing you to set up a separate phone number and voicemail account for a home office or a member of your household. Your personal device will have a separate My Ooma account, allowing you to customize your new phone line the way you want it
