Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Opticron built their black 10x42 T4 Trailfinder Binocular with a magnification and objective lens size combination that is favored by many users for its ability to see distant subjects, while remaining easy to hold and highly portable. Added to that are features that boost performance from dawn to dusk in a wide array of lighting and environmental conditions.These features begin with phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and broadband fully multi-coated optics that work together to deliver bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition through the entire visible spectrum and across its entire wide field of view. The wide field of view helps to minimize the appearance of distracting hand shake that is common when hand-holding high-power optics such as this, while presenting an immersive viewing experience even in low light. For those who want to make detailed observations at close range, the T4's minimum focus distance is under 5 feet so viewing nearby birds, bugs, flora, and fauna is comfortable and easy.The chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy, and is nitrogen-filled to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging. A protective black rubber armor provides a slip-resistant grip, with textured palm pads added for improved grip security in cold and wet weather. A large center focus wheel and convenient thumb-operated diopter adjustment ring on the right eyepiece enable precision focusing — even while wearing gloves.
