Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Opticron's 8x32 Oregon 4 PC Binocular features phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to give you a versatile and capable optic that produces bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition. These optical features help to offset the smaller 32mm objectives to boost its low-light performance. With less noticeable hand shake versus more powerful binoculars, this combination of optics and objectives makes the Oregon 4 PC ideally suited for most outdoor activities from hunting to birding, sporting events, and sightseeing.Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make the binocular durable and comfortable to use. The chassis is made from a combination of aluminum and polycarbonate to make it lightweight as well as impact and corrosion resistant. The optical tubes are wrapped with rubber armoring, which not only protects them from drops and impacts, but also gives the binocular a slip-resistant grip—especially in cold and wet weather. Its optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof, even when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions. For long-duration observation sessions, the binocular can be mounted on a tripod using an optional adapter to eliminate arm fatigue or to leave both hands free for other activities. - Optical Performance
-
- Moderate 8x power magnifies view without sacrificing field of view and exit pupil
- 32mm objective lenses have more light-gathering ability than a pocket-sized optic without the bulk and weight of a full size
- Compact roof prism light path ensures thin optical tubes to help maintain a slim form factor
- BAK4 prisms produce crisp and sharp views with a round exit pupil
- Phase-corrected prism coatings eliminate internal interference to improve contrast and resolution
- Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission to improve image brightness, color rendition, and contrast
- Short 5.9' minimum focus distance enables close-up inspections of flora, fauna, insects, and small birds
- Wide 64.5° apparent angle of view allows you to see expansive areas without having to move your head
- Spacious 423-foot field of view at 1000 yards
- Use and Handling
-
- Closed-bridge configuration provides a solid platform for the internal focusing mechanism
- Large textured focusing wheel makes it easy to manipulate even in cold and wet weather or while wearing gloves
- 58-74mm interpupillary adjustment range
- Wide ±5.25 right-eye dioptric correction enables precise focusing for tack-sharp images
- Three-stage click-stop twist-up eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
- 15mm eye relief makes long-duration observation more comfortable with reduced eyestrain
- 4mm exit pupil will cover pupils as they open and dilate in lower light conditions for easier viewing
- Construction Details
-
- Aluminum and polycarbonate chassis materials make optic strong, lightweight, and durable
- Nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions
- Rubber armoring protects against bumps and hits while providing a slip-resistant grip
- Tethered one-piece ocular rainguard and objective lens caps come off quickly for fast reaction when needed, without the chance of losing them
- Tripod mountable with optional adapter to reduce arm fatigue and vibrations
