Product description The Full HD-resolution (1920 x 1080) Optoma EH1020 DLP Multimedia Projector is a great home theater projector that can project 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition images. And those high definition signals will stay in pristine digital form from the source to the projector thanks to the EH1020's HDMI v 1.3 input. But its education and business credentials are impeccable too. It can sync up with more than 30 PC and Macintosh resolutions, offering the kind of flexibility you need when you don't know where and with what kind of computer you'll be using the projector next. Can a projector offer a lesson in International Relations? If it's possible, the EH1020 can. Its 100 – 240 Volt 50/60 Hz power supply lets the projector work in almost any country with electricity. Its OSD (on-screen display) offers a choice of 23 languages. And its ability to project programming in the NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL B, D, G, H, I, M, N and SECAM B, D, G, K, K1, L standards means it'll work in just about any country that has television. No matter where it is, the EH1020 projects a bright, vivid (3000 lumens) and sharp (2200:1 contrast ratio) image thanks to its Texas Instruments 0.65" Digital Light Processor Digital Micromirror Device (DLP DMD). TI's DLP panels form images from not only the primary colors red, green and blue, but also their complements, cyan, magenta and yellow. The result is what many authorities agree is the finest color reproduction possible. With the EH1020 saving you money isn't a onetime deal but an ongoing process. Use it in STD (standard) mode instead of BRIGHT mode and energy use is 17 percent less while lamp life soars from an estimated 3000 hours to 4000 hours. And with its DLP DMD image engine there are no filters that have to be periodically cleaned and replaced. When you're ready to go you can pack it into its included carrying case and tote it off to its next assignment immediately, thanks to its rapid on/off feature. But don't be afraid to keep it in standby mode in between classes or presentations. In standby mode the EH1020 sips less than a single watt. On the other hand, in a permanent installation you'll appreciate the double physical security of a Kensington slot for an optional Kensington lock and security bar through which you thread an optional steel cable. This projector can do a lot of things but once you've secured it, one thing it won't be doing is "walking away." In addition to taking advantage of its physical security measures you can password protect projector operation and also prevent deliberate or inadvertent changes to the projector's settings. - 3000 ANSI Lumens And a 2200:1 Contrast Ratio With Full HD Resolution
- That's projection power to spare for medium to large sized living rooms, conference rooms and lecture halls even when ambient light can't be totally controlled. Full HD resolution (1920 by 1080) means the EH1020 makes a great entertainment projector as well as a corporate or educational device.
- Texas Instruments 0.65" DMD DLP Panel With BrilliantColor
- The panel is where the image is formed in a projector. Texas Instruments is generally acknowledged as the maker of the finest panels. You'll find their Digital Micromirror Display-Digital Light Processing technology in the top projectors of many brands. It's not hard to understand why. BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent. And in addition to red, green and blue, its spectrum includes their complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced.
- Ready For Worldwide Use
- In addition to NTSC (the North American standard) this projector can display video signals in the NTSC 4.43, PAL (B, D, G, H, I, M, N) and SECAM (B, D, G, K, K1, L) systems. It can also handle SDTV (e.g., 480i), EDTV (e.g., 480p), and HDTV (720p 1080i, 1080p). It's got an auto switching 100 to 240 V AC 50/60 Hz power supply and a 23-language OSD (on-screen display).
- Rapid Power-On And Shutdown Save you Time and Money
- Need we say more? OK. Rapid Power-On Means you don't waste time (and potentially your audience's time) waiting for the projector to warm up. Rapid Shutdown means you don't have to hang around waiting for the projector to cool. And time being money... well, you get the idea.
- IR Remote With Laser Pointer and Remote Mouse Function
- Wireless remotes are old news. The EH1020's is another story. It's tricked out with a laser pointer and remote mouse functions. (Remote mouse requires USB connection between PC/MAC and Projector. USB cable not included.) Imagine scrolling a spreadsheet to the exact numbers you need to emphasize or using the laser to point out a feature in a cathedral you photographed on your European vacation.
- Energy Saving Features Save Money and the Environment
- In Bright mode lamp life is estimated at 3000 hours and noise level is a whisper-quiet 31 dB. Switch to STD (standard) mode and estimated lamp life soars to 4000 hours while fan noise drops to (an almost literally unheard of) 29 dB. Overall power consumption drops 17 percent from 339 Watts to 281 Watts. In standby mode the projector draws less than a single watt.
- Use the Built-In Eight-Watt Speaker or External Stereo Speakers
- With its bright projection system you can use the EH2010 in large venues where the built-in eight-watt monaural speaker may not have enough audio oomph to cover the whole room. If you've got a pair of powered external speakers handy (they're not included) you can plug them into the projector's stereo mini jack for greater audio volume.
- Robust Security is Built In
- You can prevent unauthorized use of the projector by password protecting it. A keypad lock prevents inadvertent changes to projector settings. For physical security the projector has a security bar through which you can thread a steel cable (not included) and a slot for an optional Kensington lock.
