Product description

The Optoma TX779 XGA DLP Projector is a workhorse of a high-end projector which incorporates Texas Instruments DarkChip3 DLP chipset with BrilliantColor that cranks out more than 1.07 billion colors at a brilliant 4500 ANSI lumens with a contrast ratio of 3000:1. DLP chipsets not only produce some of the most intensely vivid and beautiful images of any technology, they actually save you time and money too. They don't require filters that have to be cleaned and replaced. The TX779 can be controlled over a network thanks to its built in RJ45 (Ethernet) jack. It even has its own web server built in to make managing it as easy as possible. It's also 3D compatible when used with a computer with a 3D card and 3D shutter glasses for each viewer. This projector is ready to work almost anywhere in the world. It's got an auto-switching 100 - 240 VAC power supply and its onscreen display (OSD) offers a choice of 21 languages. Moreover, it's compatible with virtually every television standard in the world: NTSC, PAL and SECAM. It's also compatible with more than 20 Mac and PC resolutions. The TX779 has an IR wireless remote control with both a laser pointer and mouse functions so you can easily emphasize the parts of your presentation you need to. But it's not all work and no play. The TX779 has an HDMI input and it projects both 720p and 1080i high definition. At work or at play, just about anywhere in the world, the TX779 is powerful, versatile and among the very best choice for a host of applications.
4500 ANSI Lumens and a 3000:1 Contrast Ratio
  • This is a high-powered projector suitable for permanent installation (although it works well on the road too). With the kind of projection power the TX779 possesses it can be used in large rooms even with relatively high levels of ambient light. Turn the lights down low and you'll be even more impressed by the intensely vivid, lifelike colors produced.
Single 0.7" DarkChip3 DLP Technology by Texas Instruments
  • That vivid, high contrast picture is courtesy of Texas Instruments DarkChip3 technology with BrilliantColor. This technology features multi-color processing to produce stunning, vibrant colors on the screen. Unlike other technologies such as LCD which use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP Technology with BrilliantColor uses up to six separate colors.
    Ready for Wired Networking
  • Through its RJ-45 (Ethernet) jack the TX779 is ready to connect to your LAN or WAN. You can then manage a variety of settings from a computer on your network.
    3D Ready
  • 3D content can be viewed with active LCD shutter glasses when the projector is connected to a computer with a compatible 3D graphics card and optional 3D shutter glasses for each viewer.
    World Ready
  • Although the most common use of the TX779W is in a permanent installation, that installation can be almost anywhere in the world. Its auto-switching power supply can handle from 100 to 240 volts. Its onscreen display offers a choice of 21 languages. It can handle video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. It projects 720p and 1080 high definition signals and it's compatible with more than 20 different PC and Mac resolution/vertical sync combinations.
