Product description The Osprey 825e 2-Channel SDI Video Capture Card is a video and embedded audio capture card for Windows and Linux. It can capture two SDI channels simultaneously and supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI with resolutions up to 1080p60. In addition it supports four stereo pairs (eight channels) of embedded audio per video input.
The Osprey 825e is a versatile card that can be used for a wide range of applications, most notably live streaming and recording. For Windows, the card features drivers that expose it to the Microsoft DirectShow API, Windows' media device interface framework. This means that card is compatible with most Windows-based software that is capable of capturing or streaming video.
For Linux users, there are a wide range of Open Source software options available via the Linux distribution's package manager or as source code from GitHub and other repositories. In addition, users looking for custom solutions can develop their own software using the software developer kit (SDK), which can be tailored for unique applications.
Finally, the Osprey 825e features SimulStream. This driver enhancement provides the ability to feed multiple encoding applications at the same time. The most notable benefit of this feature is the ability to encode the same video source at different frame rates and resolutions to support a wider range of devices and Internet connection speeds, something encoding applications often lack the ability to do on their own. - Compatible with Microsoft DirectShow API and many Open Source Linux drivers
