This electronic download of Exhale from Output is a powerful and exciting vocal engine that allows you to add breathtaking vocals and effects to your production work. The software is broken into 3 modes: Notes, Loops, and Slices, with over 500 presets to choose from, which is easily navigated using the browser at the bottom. Additionally, there are several tags that help narrow your search down to exactly what you are looking for.
Notes mode takes a sound source and chromatically maps it to the keyboard, allowing you to perform chords and melodies that fit perfectly into your production. Loops mode takes 13 loops and maps them to 13 notes on your keyboard allowing for variations and flexibility, while Slices mode assigns one loop and slices it across 13 notes on your keyboard. Four macros are available for each preset to further edit and customize your setting. Both Loops and Slices modes offer a key-selection parameter that forces the current selection to match the key of your production.
The Engine provides direct access to all of the parameters that make up a sound and lets you modify a preset or create a sound from scratch. There are two sources, a rhythm panel, and an effects panel that's broken into modulation effects, and insert effects. There are four different pages of source materials to choose from, and each source has independent panning and volume controls. The rhythm section offers several patterns that work with the modulation effects. -
