Product description Styled in a black textured finish, the Ovation 1778TX Elite TX Series Mid-Depth Acoustic/Electric Guitar features a mid-depth Lyrachord bowl, an AA grade solid spruce top, and scalloped "X" bracing. If projection on a stage is your primary goal, then this acoustic/electric guitar is more than up for the job: the body and resonant spruce top allow for clear articulation, while the bass-side soundholes facilitate a strong low end. Furthermore, its slim hard-rock maple neck—replete with a stained-rosewood fingerboard—is shaped to offer the fast feel of an electric guitar, and also lends the instrument a kind of sustain more typical of an electric guitar.
Turn your attention to this guitar's OP-Pro preamp system and you'll notice it sports a three-band EQ, a volume control, a preset tone enhancement circuit, a low battery indicator, and an on-board tuner to boot. An OCP-1K pickup complements the preamp by providing a balanced tone, allowing you to achieve an accurate representation of this Ovation's inherent acoustic sound. - Body
