Product description Styled in a gloss black finish, Ovation's Applause Elite AE44II is an acoustic/electric guitar featuring a mid-depth Lyrachord body with a single contoured cutaway, a spruce top, and quarter-sawn, scalloped "X" bracing. If projection on a stage is your primary goal, then this acoustic/electric guitar is more than up for the task: Its rounded-back body, bass-side soundholes, and resonant top facilitate a clear, balanced, and complex tone. A rosewood bridge rounds out the body. Its nato mahogany neck has a 25.25" scale and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius, demarcated by abalone dot inlays. A set of die-cast sealed tuners secure the strings at the headstock.
Turn your attention this guitar's built-in electronics, and you'll notice a CE304T preamp with a three-band EQ, a volume control, and an onboard tuner to boot. This preamp works in conjunction with an undersaddle piezo pickup. - Body
