Product description The 1.8" 480GB Aura Pro SATA Solid State Drive from OWG/Other World Computing is designed for special applications, netbooks and subnotebooks that utilize a 1.8" SATA hard drive. Equipped with a SandForce SF-2181 full series processor and DuraClass technology, the solid state drive offers sustained reads up to 284 MB/s and writes up to 268 MB/s. In addition to RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology, the solid state drive comes with ECC protection that protects the data on your hard drive and retains it for a long time on the hard drive. The Aura Pro Solid State Drive has an Intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling feature, which automatically distributes the data evenly over the hard drive. It also has an Intelligent Read Disturb Management feature, which spreads active read or write across the flash components, eliminating data corruption. - Fast and Reliable

- SandForce DuraClass Technology
- The Aura Pro Solid State Drive features the industry-leading SandForce DuraClass technology. The DuraWrite extends the endurance of your solid state drive, while the Intelligent Block Management & Wear Leveling feature automatically distributes data evenly across the entire solid state drive. The Intelligent Read Disturb Management feature spreads the active read/write across the flash components, eliminating data corruption caused by constant use. The Advanced Intelligent Recycling feature gradually re-writes data across the solid state drive over time to ensure that data never gets corrupted. The RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) protects the data on your drive similar to having a RAID setup.
