The drive is compatible with 11" and 13" MacBook Airs released in July 2011 (MacBookAir4,2 and 4,1) and October 2010 (MacBookAir3,2 and 3,1).
This SSD connects to your MacBook Air using an mSATA connection and features no moving parts, helping to protect it from accidental bumps and drops, as well as achieve faster data transfer speeds. In terms of speed, the drive sports a SandForce 2200 controller that delivers sustained reads of up to 285 MB/s, sustained writes of up to 275 MB/s, random 4K reads of up to 50,000 IOPS, and random 4K writes of up to 50,000 IOPS.
The Aura 6G comes equipped with Intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling technology that automatically distributes data evenly across the entire SSD to increase its lifespan. To enhance data integrity, it utilizes StaticDataRefresh technology for managing free space and gradually refreshing data across the SSD. Furthermore, AES 128-bit support protects your data.
