Product description NAB 2019: G-Tech, SanDisk, and WD Show Off Latest Storage Solutions Read More Add 1TB of storage to your Mac Pro (Late 2013) running macOS 10.13 or later using the 1TB Aura Pro X SSD Upgrade Solution from OWC / Other World Computing. Included is an OWC Envoy Pro Enclosure, which is a bus-powered USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) enclosure for your Mac Pro's factory SSD. Once removed from the system and placed in the enclosure, the factory SSD can be used an external storage at speeds up to 500 MB/s, and the Aura Pro X can be installed in your Mac Pro. The PCIe-based Aura Pro X uses 3D MLC NAND flash memory and operates with read speeds up to 1352 MB/s and write speeds up to 1066 MB/s.
Please note that the Envoy Pro Enclosure is specifically designed for use only with the Mac Pro's factory-installed SSD. Do not attempt to install or use Aura Pro X SSDs in the Envoy Pro, as you may damage the Aura Pro X, the enclosure, or both. This damage is not covered under the warranty.
