Product description With a USB 3.0 port capable of transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s, the 1TB Mercury On-The-Go Pro USB 3.0 External Solid State Drive from Other World Computing is designed to provide fast, efficient storage for a variety of files including video, music, photos, documents, and more. Those files will remain safe and secure thanks to the impact-resistant enclosure complete with shock-isolation technology providing maximum protection. This drive also features a fanless design to virtually eliminate all noise when in use and the built-in heatsink and pass-through cooling vents ensure the drive does not overheat. Additionally, this bus powered drive requires no additional power source and can be used with Mac, Windows, and Linux based computers equipped with a USB port. - Global wear leveling algorithms automatically distribute data evenly and manage program/erase count, maximizing SSD lifespan
- StaticDataRefresh technology manages free space, gradually refreshing data across the SSD over time, limiting data corruption
- Hardware BCH ECC corrects errors up to 66-bit/1 kB for superior data retention and drive life
