Product description The OWC 2.5" Mercury On-The-Go Pro External Solid State Drive (240 GB) is an all-round storage solution, and comes with a SATA interface and a Fujitsu USB 3.0 chipset. Featured Durawrite technology optimizes writes to the flash memory, thereby increasing the overall endurance and reliability of the SSD.
With Intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling, the data is evenly distributed across the entire SSD. In addition, the Intelligent Read Disturb Management protects against errant re-programming of cells during read and program cycles. The Intelligent Recycling technology performs garbage collection and rewrites the data across the SSD to prevent data corruption. Featured RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology works like a RAID setup and provides recovery from flash block failures. ECC (Error Correction Code) protection detects errors and reconstructs the original data.
Featuring USB 3.0 / 2.0 and 1.1 backwards compatible port, the 2.5" Mercury On-The-Go Pro External Solid State Drive offers data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s (USB 3.0) and 60 MB/s (USB 2.0). Being USB bus-powered, it can be operated without an AC adaptor. Built-in aluminum heatsink and cooling vents on the top of the case allow the hard drive to be operated in a cool environment by moving out the hot air. With an impact-resistant acrylic enclosure, it features shock-isolation technology to withstand accidental drops and protect your valuable information. In addition, the solid state drive can be used with the Mac, Windows, and Linux-based systems. - SATA interface and a Fujitsu USB 3.0 chipset
