Product description The 240GB Aura Pro 6G SSD for MacBook Air 2010-2011 Edition from Other World Computing is specifically designed for use with the MacBook Air 2010-2011 Edition. It supports 6 Gbps SATA and utilizes enhanced DuraClass technology with a SandForce 2200 processor to deliver high transfer speeds, endurance, performance and power efficiency. The Aura Pro 6G SSD achieves 6G speeds of up to 507 MBps with compatible 2011 MacBooks and 3G speeds of up to 275 MBps with 2010 MacBooks. It features 256GB total flash memory with 16GB memory allocated for real-time data redundancy and error correction. The Aura Pro 6G SSD features RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology along with ECC protection to protect the data on your drive. Intelligent block management and wear leveling system evenly distributes the data over the drive. Furthermore, intelligent read disturb management spreads the active read/write, eliminating data corruption. Advanced intelligent recycling ensures space management by re-writing the data over the Solid State Drive*. Note: *Unless you own or have access to a Pentalobe compatible driver and a Torx T5 screwdriver, or bought an Aura/Envoy bundle which includes these tools, you will need to purchase the MacBook Air 2010-2012 SSD Installation Kit. - Provides 240GB storage capacity
