Product description The 240GB Envoy Pro EX USB 3.1 Gen 1 External SSD from OWC / Other World Computing marries their 240GB Aura Pro 6G Internal SSD, which was originally designed for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display (2012-2013), with a micro-USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-B enclosure. Together, these two components provide users with a fast, compact, and portable external SSD that delivers data transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s. The external enclosure features an anodized aluminum finish, fanless operations, non-skid rubber feet, UASP compliance, USB bus power via plug-and-play, and is compatible with Windows XP and later, Mac OS X 10.3 and later, and Linux. Included is a carrying case and a micro-USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-B to USB Type-A cable, while protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty with a 48-hour turnaround service.

- This SSD features ECC recovery of up to 55 bytes correctable per 512 byte sectors, AES 128-bit full-drive encryption, TRIM support that is OS dependent, and non-recoverable read errors of less than 1 sector per 1016 bits read.
