Product description The OWC / Other World Computing 240GB Mercury Aura Pro MBA Solid State Drive is designed for use with the MacBook Air 2008/2009 Edition. It supports 3.0 Gb/s SATA and utilizes the latest duraclass technology with a sandforce processor to deliver a high transfer speed, endurance, performance, and power efficiency. The SSD is up to 41x faster and offers 4x more capacity. It features 256GB total flash memory with 16GB memory allocated for real-time data redundancy and error correction.
In addition to the RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology along with the ECC protection enables the 240GB Mercury Aura Pro MBA Solid State Drive to protect the data on your hard drive. The intelligent block management and wear leveling system evenly distributes the data over the hard drive. An intelligent read disturb management spreads the active read/write, eliminating data corruption.
Advanced intelligent recycling ensures space management by re-writing the data over the SSD. The Mercury Aura Pro MBA Solid State Drive has no moving parts, and a highly rugged storage solution offers faster system response. It comes with a proprietary MBA cable, foam adhesive strips, and a 5 piece toolkit. - 1.8" hard drive with 240GB storage capacity
